This Valentine's Day, Tyler and I didn't do anything super special. Thursday night we saw the movie "Kingsman: Secret Service." We brought Gemma because she's been great in the last few movies we've gone to, and she was ok in this one...only halfway through she started talking - loud! Seriously she just babbled on and on, that I spent pretty much the last half walking in the hallway, occasionally trying to go back in, but each time I did, she would just start talking again! But I gotta be honest...I wasn't even mad! She was so darn cute, I didn't even care! A manager had walked by a few times and could tell I was missing most of the movie, so she got me a free movie pass so I didn't waste my money! It was so sweet of her!
Friday night we went to Waffle Love. Neither of us had been there before and we wanted to try it. It was pretty good. We agreed that we liked Bruges Waffles better. (They're a food truck as well).
After Waffle Love we went to the Riverwoods to meet up with our friends Erin & Erik Golden. We decided on all of this last minute and didn't have any solid plans to hang out there very long. They were already there for dinner with Erin's family, and I thought we would just stop by Gymboree, then say hi to those two after they were done with dinner. We ended up going to Provo Beach Resort and played some arcade games. We had so much fun! We are so going there again soon!
Saturday (Valentine's day) I woke up (Tyler was already up) hoping to walk out and see flowers, but instead Tyler brought me a gift before I got out of bed!
He got me the lens I had been wanting!!!
Forget flowers!! This is the best Valentine's gift!!
After getting this new lens, of course I had to use it!! So I took lots of pictures of Gemma! She was being so darn cute, just rolling around her crib!
The rest of the morning and early afternoon Tyler and I spent together doing some spring cleaning with lots of breaks inbetween to play with Gemma! Later, our friend Corey came over, we hung out for a bit, then went to Cracker Barrel for dinner after seeing someone post pictures on Facebook of their dinner at Cracker Barrel. After dinner, we came back and hung out, chatted and watched a couple movies.
Overall my Valentine's weekend was great!
Valentine's Day is always simple for us because Tyler isn't a huge romantic or anything, and that's something I am more than okay with because he treats me special everyday, so I don't need anything fancy or elaborate on one silly day.
Grateful to have such a loving husband to me, and father to Gemma!
Also grateful to have this little sweetheart as my other Valentine!! She is so dang cute and I can't imagine life without her!
I love my angel!!
