Christmas 2015

You guys, I am ashamed with how few photos I took for Christmas. Seriously, I'm upset with myself. In general, I've been bad at taking lots of pictures, so maybe that will be my New Years resolution- take more photos!
Anyways...
Santa came! Gemma got a play kitchen, some Mickey & friends magnets, a sweater, cabinet baby locks and a baby stroller! Tyler and I didn't get anything cause well...Santa was already getting us a house, and he couldn't afford any more than that ;)

After spending some time playing with new toys, we went to my parents for gift exchanging and just to hang out.

Gemma, relaxing on Maisy!

Thank you, Seth, Alissa and Highland!

Thank you for the little Beauty and the Beast mirror, Chloe!!

After spending some time at my parents, we went over to Tyler's parents to spend the rest of the evening!

Getting ready for our family photo (cause...we had matching jammies, duh).

I just wanted to capture Laura's beautiful decorating!

Hope you all had a Merry Christmas!

We're building a house!

All our family and friends knew that we are building a house, but on Christmas day I posted this photo on Facebook. I spent a little time on photoshop making these...and I'm pretty proud! Haha I think they're pretty cute. The third is just without all the doodles.

I currently have a draft post going of all the updates throughout the building process that I will post once our house is done. It's been so fun updating the post every few weeks!

We are so blessed to be able to build this house!
We are super grateful to our cousin, Ryan, and all his hard work to help this dream come true for us!

2015 Christmas Card

This was our first year sending out real Christmas cards! It was so fun and I'm already excited for next year!
I spent a couple hours on photoshop making these babies! I always have the hardest time deciding on a font!!

Gemma's first time in the snow!

When we woke up to snow this morning I knew it was time to try out Gemma's new snowsuit! I bought the suit at Children's Place on clearance for only $8.50!! It was in the boys' section, but come on, you don't get more neutral than white!
Gemma hated the suit from the second I put it on her, until we stepped outside. She was in awe of the falling snow!
Gemma just walked around looking everywhere! The sky, trees, and especially down at her feet in the snow. After walking around for about 10 minutes I put her in the swing and she loved that!! After about 15 min of being outside, it was time to go back inside. The mittens she had on don't stay on super well, so her wrists were exposed, and some snow got in.
Can't wait for Tyler to come out with us next!

Thanksgiving 2015

This year for Thanksgiving we drove down to Scottsdale to spend the holiday with Tyler's grandma, Shirley. We had so much fun!
Gemma did great most of the time on the drive down. In the last 20 min of the drive, she threw up from crying so hard cause she was trying to go poop (which is hard when you're strapped in a car seat). It was so so sad.
The drive home was great! Gemma did great and we listened to the first Harry Potter book on audio which helped the drive seem to go by faster!

The first night we got to Scottsdale, we met up with Tyler's family for dinner at Village Inn.

Just hanging out at the hotel.

Family mirror selfie?

The next morning...

Hanging out, reading a book.

After we were all ready for the day, we drove to Grandma's to pick her up, then went to lunch at Boston Market. I had never been before. It was delicious!

First activity- Train museum in Scottsdale!
Touring an old old train.

When you put your hand on these little plaques, different trains would start running. This place was fun and really cute!

Butterfly Wonderland! This place was interesting...I'm not really a fan of butterflies, to put it nicely, but it was still a cool experience. (Really I just think all bugs are gross haha)
We went into a conservatory where there were hundreds of butterflies all around!
Gemma didn't like the conservatory very much. She would scream and/or cry when a butterfly got too close to her hahaha

In the gift shop at the museum, there were fun little 3D glasses that created shapes in light when you put them on. I held them up to my camera and it worked!

Thanksgiving dinner (more like lunch) was served at the dining hall where Grandma lives (a very nice retirement home).

Resting our bellies

Hanging out at Grandma's

This was a Thanksgiving I will always remember and appreciate. I'm so glad we took the trip to Arizona to see Grandma!
Thank you for having us, Grandma!! We love you!
