Lilly turns a year old!

Time flies SO FREAKING FAST! Seriously, it's mind-boggling. I swear it felt like just 2 months ago that Lilly was born....
I'm not sure I've actually made a post exclusively about Lilly. Besides her birth, anyways.
So since before Lilly was even born, Tyler and I (mostly I) hung out at the Bailey's all. the. time. And Lilly's birth didn't change that one bit. Well...maybe a little...
Turns out I forgot how much fun it was taking care of a little newborn. And obviously I didn't get the full experience, because I didn't have to deal with waking up fifty times a night, or the other tiring things that come with a new baby. BUT, I got to hold her and feed her and rock her to sleep and dress and play with her. All the good stuff. :)
So I hung out there a lot more. Eventually we began joking about how I'm their nanny and then I realized- I totally am! and I totally love it!
1: Rachel and I get along fabulously, so it's easy for me to be around her.
2: Ella, Jack and Lilly are so fun! And sweet. And funny!
3: Growing up, I always helped care for kids (younger siblings, cousins and babysitting), and so I feel at home and happy when caring for the Bailey children, even if I'm dealing with a temper tantrum, poopy diaper, teething and chompy baby nearly causing me to bleed from my knees or fingers, or the occasional rebellion against going to bed.

So basically, Lilly is my little doll that I get to take care of (almost) whenever I want!
...okay, actually this is sounding familiar...I think I may have talked a little about this already...oh well!

My point to this post is that it's been a whole year since Lilly's been born! I feel so blessed to have been able to watch her grow up this past year and I look forward to the coming years!

Happy birthday, Lilly! Tyler and I love you!!

Camping at Lava Hot Springs with the Oscarsons

A few weeks before Labor Day, the Oscarsons invited us to go camping up at Lava Hot Springs, Idaho with them for the weekend, and of course we said yes!! We told them at the beginning of the summer to let us know when they go camping cause we'd love to go!
And we had so much fun! We even brought Corey along with us! (The more Boy Scouts- the better! Tents get set up faster, fires get going quicker...camping is just....easier! hahah! And of course Corey's always fun to hang out with!)

Riley prepping for a fire...while chilling in it...
 Libs and Joseph hanging out.
TyTy walking to the bathrooms. They were SO nice!!

Our awesome fire!! Let me just say, it was I who suggested using a hollow log, that it would be cool to see burn from inside out! Guess what? It made for the COOLEST FIRE EVER! For a while, just the inside was burning, then all of the sudden flames were coming from the top, and it kinda sounded like a torch! It was way cool! So next time you go camping, look for a hollow log- they make the coolest fires!!
Okay, see the in the top middle and top right pictures of the last set of photos- see the word "FAX?" It's crazy!!

 Walking through the Sunken Gardens.

These are the hot springs! The pool I have pictured here is the hottest of all of them, and the one that we sat in the most! It was fun, but after a while you start to feel really dehydrated and pruney  so we didn't stay for more than an hour..or perhaps a bit longer...I can't remember.

Tubing!
I wish I had taken pictures of everyone tubing! We had a blast going down the river...until....
The day we left, Libby and I wanted to go one last time down the river, so she and I rented a double tube and went down. It was going great..until we got ...overconfident. Turns out it's actually a lot of fun sitting on your hands and knees on the tube, so when suddenly there was a huge 4-person tube stuck on a huge rock right next to a massive pipe of gushing water causing an unavoidable collision...there was no way in heck we would've been able to stay afloat sitting that way. So long story short, we wiped out. Libby almost got pulled under until a man helped her out of the water, and I almost lost our tube while having my legs completely run over by 2 different double-tubes. It. was. painful. And I seriously thought that I was either going to die, or receive head trauma or something awful like that.
So, naturally, I had Tyler take Libby the second time, rather than going again. (I was shaking like crazy and my legs were all raw and scratched up).
Turns out they wiped out too. Tyler hit his head and shoulder on a rock, and almost lost his glasses! Thankfully, they were both okay, and Tyler's injury wasn't serious.

This canopy caused a lot of trouble. Well, I guess the wind caused a lot of trouble. We were all sitting around the fire pit, when all of the sudden, a big gust of wind came and blew the canopy (it had the fly on it at the time) right into...

 Steve and Laura's Suburban's window!!
Luckily they had extra trash bags and duct tape to patch up the window to last them til they got home! We were blessed it didn't rain that night!

Okay I love these two pictures! (especially the top one) I feel like they're pictures you'd see in a camping magazine or something!

Just a random snap that I took...and I kinda like it!

Libby and Tyler on their way down to the river for one last river run. This was the trip that they wiped out on.

We had SO much fun with Tyler's family and we can't wait for another camping trip next summer! Thanks for inviting us!!
