Museum of Natural Curiosity with the Shumway's

Tyler and I got passes to Thanksgiving Point this year, and I'm so excited to use them! With our pass we are able to get into the Museum of Natural Curiosity, Thanksgiving Point Gardens, Museum of Natural History, and Farm Country! The pass we bought allows us to get 2 guests in for free, and then anyone else that comes in with us gets in for half off!!
I decided to pay the extra money for the plan that lets us bring 2 people in for free because we have some friends and lots of family who would love to go, and now they can for super cheap! (Or free if they don't have kids).
I hope to go to the gardens a couple times a month (at least), even if it's just Gemma and I going for a walk. The gardens are beautiful!

Anyways, we had just gotten the passes when Mary and Kevin were in town for the memorial and I thought it would be fun to bring them and their kids!
Poor Scarlett was feeling sick all day :(
Besides Scarlett feeling sick, I think we all had a good time!
If you live in Utah and have children I definitely recommend going!

Harvey's a vet!

A little bit creepy now that I'm looking at these pics haha!

I love Harvey's face!!

Movie maker!

Making music!

"Motion Matters" room. Harvey was scared of this thing. It made huge puffs of vapor!

Yay! Matching girls are my favorite!

Tyler about to start the reaction test...I think that's what it was.

This was so cute....so the reaction test thing that Tyler was doing had him jumping all over the place and Gemma was cracking up! She thought he was so funny!

The water table in Water Works. Gemma LOOOOOOOVED this! The minute I put her in there she started babbling and talking and splashing! She talked probably 95% of the time she was in there, screaming with delight at times! It was so fun watching her!

Poor sweet Scarlett. The Shumways will have to come with us again when they're out here next. I think the kids will have more fun cause they'll be a little older, and hopefully no one will be sick!

Gemma and I will probably come here every few weeks. Just for this water table. What a great idea this water table is! I wish I was a handy person (or Tyler). It would be pretty easy to build one of these.

If you live in the area or will be visiting Utah, message me on Facebook and I'll meet you there to hang out, or even just get you and your family in for really cheap!! It's free for 3 yrs and younger. And with my pass, 2 people get in for free, then admission is half off after that, so children would be $6 each, and adults would be $7.50 each.

Gemma - Seven Months

What is happening? It feels like I just barely typed up her 6 month update!

Gemma gets more fun everyday. I can see her developing her own cute little personality with each day and I fall more and more in love with her!
Gemma and I have our little games we play. She loves it when I put my hair in her face/within her reach, but then I will quickly whip it away so she can't grab it and she giggles and giggles. She's amused by peekaboo and I can sometimes  get her to laugh during that.

She loves it when I sing and dance for her! She just has the biggest grin the whole time.
She enjoys lying on her back and holding her book or other toys above her face to look at it. And no fail, she drops it on her face at least once a day, and cries until I calm her. It's kinda funny.

She is obsessed with her reflection and seeing pictures and videos of herself. If she's crying and screaming, I can go stand in front of the mirror and she'll immediately start smiling through those tears!

Still loves to talk. Seriously I'm not joking, she talks SO. LOUD. Like, we will be watching a movie and as the movie gets louder at some parts, so does she. It's hilarious (and mildly frustrating). The other night we were watching something, and we had to actually pause the movie and give her something to eat to stop her from talking so we could actually hear the movie! hahahah!

Gemma is still not crawling. She just doesn't get the concept of moving forward! haha! I will put her up on her hands and knees, she'll rock back and forth, but as soon as she wants something in front of her, she will drop to her belly and just stretch out her body as much as she can to reach for it. If she's unsuccessful, she'll roll around, turn her body, and roll sideways to it! She's clever, and yet somehow still oblivious. Hahah!

Sits up on her own like a champ! She rarely falls over anymore. If she starts tipping she puts her hands out to stop herself.
I've been helping her learn how to use her fingers to pick up food and put it in her mouth. She's been doing surprisingly well!!

Gemma's favorite food is still squash. That seems to be the food she will eat for the longest amount of time before she shows signs of being done eating. She LOVES eating fruit in her fresh food feeder. She likes blueberries and bananas in it, but she LOVES pears.

We borrowed a big bouncer exer-saucer from Rachel, and Gemma has so much fun in it! She goes nuts bouncing up and down, and is totally entertained by all the toys on it!

Gemma now totally knows her name. I'm not entirely sure when she made the connection, but I just happened to notice it one day.
Gemma is so dang cute, happy, and giddy in the mornings! Oh, I just live for the mornings I spend just cuddling her and playing with her in my bed. She is so much fun!

Still a momma's girl!
She doesn't mind the carseat at all, but she'll get frustrated sometimes and I think it's cause she's bored.
Gemma will sleep sometimes over 10 hours a night! It's pretty great when I get to sleep in!
