Thomas Rex Frampton

Tommy is here! Poor Karly went a week overdue! She's a trooper! Seriously, you guys have no idea...though, continue reading and you'll see just how amazing she is!

The view out of Karly's window. I love the American Fork hospital!

 Lookin' good at 41 weeks!

We all took turns pushing on Karly's lower back when she was contracting, it helped lessen the pain of the contractions.

Taylor working off some energy. Haha!

Karly, just brushing her teeth!

Karly labored for hours with very little progress, but then labored another 4 hours straight (if I remember right), without ANY progress! She hadn't dilated at all! We were all so so sad for her. I can't imagine how it must feel laboring (unmedicated) for that long without any progress! She was amazing though, throughout all of it!
Dr Allen knew that Tommy's head wasn't in the right position, but wanted to wait a bit to see if they could get Tommy to move his head in the right place by having Karly lie in certain positions.
Tommy's head wasn't right against Karly's cervix, but instead his brow/eyes were. (Face presentation). And without the head pressing against the cervix for each contraction, she didn't dilate.
The doctor told her what she already knew - that she would need to have a C-section.

Getting ready for surgery!

Paul and Jennifer!
We were all sad Karly's parents weren't able to be there. But it's hard when you're across the country!
I was texting Linda updates every so often and sending her pictures!

Bye Karly! See you soon!!

A little while later...
HE'S HERE!

I love this picture!

Sweet prince had a little bulge on his head from being pushed against the cervix for hours! It was almost gone by the next day!

One of the best moments ever!

Grateful to have been apart of this experience!
Love you three!

Gemma, her babies, and bedtime!

Gemma LOVES baby dolls! Every night when I put her in her crib, she holds these 2 dolls, and each morning when I go in, she's standing there holding at least one of the dollies, waiting for me to get her. It's ridiculously precious.

Also, I'm obsessed with those glow-in-the-dark binkies!

Gemma's hair is getting long!

Eating an apple fruit leather and watching Sofia the First so that I can quickly get some pictures of her hair!
I love her hair. These pictures don't do her amazing curls justice.

Gemma - Twelve Months

I HAVE A ONE YEAR OLD!!!
It's seriously insane how fast this year went. Actually, even the last (almost) two years!! I swear it feels like I JUST found out I was pregnant with her! My pregnancy just flew by and so did Gemma's first year! It's bittersweet. I am sad with how fast she's growing up, and I kinda miss that little newborn, but on the other hand, she is so stinking fun. I am absolutely in love with her little personality and who knew they could have senses of humor so young?! I didn't!!

What a blessing this angel has been in our lives!! The joy Gemma brings us is almost overwhelming!

I love every moment with this little girl! Seriously...even the times she's being a little stinker, I can't be mad. I mean, just look at that face!

Gemma is now walking! Her first step was some time the end of June, then a few days later she took another step. By this time she could stand by herself after using something to help pull herself up. July 2 we took her to get her ears pierced (she did great! Cried a little, but I think she was more mad at me for holding her still). After getting her ears pierced we went to my parents and hung out for a bit, where she took 4 steps in a row! For a week or so after that, we would stand her up and have her take steps towards us. Mid-July she decided she wanted to walk everywhere!

For a long time I had to be careful with feeding Gemma. If I gave her something (like a part of a banana, carrot, etc). to take bites of she usually shoved the whole thing in her mouth and start choking. Now she's much much better and I don't die of anxiety when I give her something like a graham cracker! Occasionally I feed her baby food still, but mostly I just give her bits of what I'm eating. She also still takes a bottle twice a day.

For a while now, Gemma has been sleeping in her crib in her own room each night. Around 5am she wakes up and I just put her in my bed to sleep the rest of the night(morning). At that point, Tyler is gone at work so there's room for Gemma to sleep all crazy in my bed. And then I get to wake up to her cute little face staring and smiling at me! I totally love it!!

Gemma knows how to give kisses and every time she kisses me I feel like exploding! Sometimes she will even push mine and Tyler's faces together cause she likes it when we kiss!!

She loves baby dolls now. She will hold hers and make a sighing noise like "awww".
She plays peekaboo. Pattycake.
When she hears a song she likes she totally sings to it!!
She hums when I turn on lullabies for her to fall asleep to.
Dances to any catchy song!
Favorite movie is still Beauty and the Beast. Favorite show is Sofia the First. She mostly loves the theme songs at the beginning of each episode!
When I comb Gemma's hair or put a bow in it, she makes this squinty smiling face each time cause she knows I'm about to say "ooooh, cute!!!" She totally gets flattered and it's adorable.
For a while now she's been able to climb down off the couch and my bed. She climbs up stairs but still hasn't nailed the coming down part.

I love this dolly with all my heart. I have always been happy in my life, but none of the joy I have ever experienced compares to the joy I feel with Gemma as my daughter.
What an amazing first year it's been with her, and I know it will only get better!
Happy birthday, my sweetheart!

Gemma's Mad Tea Party - First birthday!

Disney's classic Alice in Wonderland was my favorite movie as a girl, and still one of my favorite Disney movies. As a teenager I started thinking how fun it would be to have a Mad Tea Party themed birthday party, but had no clue how to execute it.
Well, as I was thinking about what I would do for Gemma's birthday party, I was reminded (thanks to Pinterest) of the idea of a Mad Tea Party!
And just like that I got SUPER excited! I started planning immediately....like 5 months before her birthday! Haha!

I'm happy with how it turned out, though I am disappointed in how few pictures I took! Unfortunately I was so busy at the party talking to people and keeping the food filled that I forgot to take pictures of Gemma walking around and playing with other kids! Agh!!!

Anyways, here are the pictures!

This photo I had printed and hanging on the front door.

Okay, so having this party at my aunt's house was the best idea ever. She had so many flowers just around the house, plus look at those cute teapots!! Not to mention candles, garland, and topiaries!

"Happy unBirthday!"

Found a bunch of teapots at DI for cheap and spray painted them white to use as centerpieces! I love how they turned out!

Okay and let's talk about these cakes. They were my favorite part of the whole set up. Seriously, how amazing are these?!
Thank you to Kitty Holdaway for the adorable cakes!
They were white chocolate with raspberry filling and it was so good!!

Gemma's smash cake! I'll be honest, I was almost disappointed with this in a way. It was SO CUTE!....too cute! How on earth could I let Gemma smash this little masterpiece?! Just look at those tiny details!

The classic Alice in Wonderland playing in the background. Gemma got the blu-ray for her birthday!

Dinner was pulled pork on rolls!

I was shopping at Home Goods back in May when I came upon this teapot...there was no way I could leave the store without buying it. It was perfect!!

This picture makes me laugh...everyone looks so bored...maybe they were. I was getting Gemma ready for the cake smash!

The birthday girl was starting to get sleepy!

Gemma loved her smash cake! She ate so much of it, but much more of it ended up in her lap! She eventually just started scooping it onto herself Haha!!

More pictures of this cake, cause I'm obsessed!

Time for presents! Gemma really wasn't interested, she was really just super tired!

Me and my angel!

I love this little family of mine. This is happiness.

Thank you to everyone who came to the party to celebrate with us! We love all the gifts she received and we're grateful for each one!
And thank you to Aunt Kimi for letting us have the party at your house (and for all the rearranging of furniture I did!) :)
