Bear Lake - Labor Day Weekend

So...Bear Lake may be my new favorite lake. Actually it definitely is my favorite. (Though I have yet to go to Lake Powell or Tahoe).
The water is beautiful! It's blue. It's clear. It's clean. That's a big deal to me.
Tyler and I had been wanting to go up to Bear Lake all summer, and finally we were able to get the time off to go. We happen to invite Corey to come with us, but he already had plans to go with his roommates and his roommate's family.
(Roommates: Clark, Paul, and Parker.)
Clark's family owns a cabin up at the lake and they go a few times a summer and invited Corey and other friends to go up. Well since we were going up and Corey was going up we made plans just to meet up with them to hang out for a bit, but then Clark's dad invited us to stay at the house with them! (Which turned out to be a huge blessing because I had forgotten to bring us air mattresses and there was no way I was going to be able to sleep on the hard ground).

We went boating/tubing, built a massive fire (well, the boys did, I just watched), played games and enjoyed each other's company.

These boys were a lot of fun to watch!

Paul taking Parker out with him!

Later than evening we played The Bag Game! It's so much fun! But only if you're at least a little flexible. If you're not, it's still fun to watch!
The game is this: You start with a full sized normal paper bag set up on the floor, then you have to pick up the bag with your mouth with only your feet touching the floor. After you pick it up with your mouth, you rip off the piece of paper bag that your mouth was on and the next person goes. As the game goes on, naturally, the paper bag gets smaller, making it harder to pick up. The game requires not just flexibility, but also balance.
We had so much fun!! We all got really far in the game (except Corey, he was first to get out). In the end there was 5 of us left!
The Bag Game is definitely a great party game! I tried capturing all the hilarious poses/stances some of the guys used to be able to reach the bag. So funny!

See how tiny the bag got?? Tyler and I were the last ones to be able to pick up the bag. I had to grab it using my tongue!!!

The boy scouts building an awesome fire!!

Tyler wearing some coat that we found in a closet in the cabin. (Mind you, this place was old. The house actually belongs to Clark's grandparents.)

Paul was running to catch a ball/frisbee and didn't realize how close to the edge he was until he flew off of it! It was pretty funny!

Parker and his date (I feel bad I can't remember her name!)

Tyler and I!

And what would camping be without fireworks? Oh...normal camping. Hahaha It was pretty entertaining.

So, best "camping" trip ever! We hope to go up to Bear Lake again this next summer, and actually camping this time, though we had tons of fun staying with the Seningers.

If you live in Utah and you haven't been up to Bear Lake...GO!
