Thanksgiving 2015

This year for Thanksgiving we drove down to Scottsdale to spend the holiday with Tyler's grandma, Shirley. We had so much fun!
Gemma did great most of the time on the drive down. In the last 20 min of the drive, she threw up from crying so hard cause she was trying to go poop (which is hard when you're strapped in a car seat). It was so so sad.
The drive home was great! Gemma did great and we listened to the first Harry Potter book on audio which helped the drive seem to go by faster!

The first night we got to Scottsdale, we met up with Tyler's family for dinner at Village Inn.

Just hanging out at the hotel.

Family mirror selfie?

The next morning...

Hanging out, reading a book.

After we were all ready for the day, we drove to Grandma's to pick her up, then went to lunch at Boston Market. I had never been before. It was delicious!

First activity- Train museum in Scottsdale!
Touring an old old train.

When you put your hand on these little plaques, different trains would start running. This place was fun and really cute!

Butterfly Wonderland! This place was interesting...I'm not really a fan of butterflies, to put it nicely, but it was still a cool experience. (Really I just think all bugs are gross haha)
We went into a conservatory where there were hundreds of butterflies all around!
Gemma didn't like the conservatory very much. She would scream and/or cry when a butterfly got too close to her hahaha

In the gift shop at the museum, there were fun little 3D glasses that created shapes in light when you put them on. I held them up to my camera and it worked!

Thanksgiving dinner (more like lunch) was served at the dining hall where Grandma lives (a very nice retirement home).

Resting our bellies

Hanging out at Grandma's

This was a Thanksgiving I will always remember and appreciate. I'm so glad we took the trip to Arizona to see Grandma!
Thank you for having us, Grandma!! We love you!
