Pioneer Day Part 1: Paragliding

Taylor's birthday is July 12, but a few weeks before then, Karly asked us what she should do for Taylor for his birthday. One day, it came to me! Paragliding!! I had been dying to do it for a while, and when I found a deal on KSL for paragliding, I knew it had to happen!!

So we scheduled a tandem flying session for up at the Point of the Mountain, and attempted to surprise Taylor with it, but he miraculously guessed what it was a few days beforehand. 

 

We all got to go down twice, and this was Karly's 2nd time! 

Wish I got more pictures of Tyler and Taylor! I was able to wait at the bottom for Taylor and Karly and take pictures of them landing, but unfortunately I wasn't able to get any good one's of Taylor landing!

Anyways, it was way fun!! Tyler and I would love to get certified and buy our own equipment, but unfortunately, it's pretty expensive...maybe one day! I'm just glad we were able to do something fun for Taylor's birthday (and kind of Karly's as well, since her birthday was a week away). 

Last year we went four-wheeling for Karly's birthday (you can see the post HERE). So next year we have to do something big and fun to keep the tradition going!

Karly's Birthday!

Since Karly's and Taylor's birthdays are both in July, they each received coupons for Tucano's Brazilian Grill, and invited us to come along with them! 

 And of course we had to have them sing to Karly (it was, afterall, her actual birthday!)

After lunch we went to Blickenstaff's to play around and take pictures! 

 Tyler had the camera most of the time so I didn't really get any pictures of him :(

Tyler + Sami: Summer 2012

Nearly every Sunday, the Bailey's went down to Utah Lake to go swimming and play in the sand, and one Sunday, Tyler and I were able to join them! Rachel was kind enough to snap some pictures of Tyler and I together! 

So, everybody jokes that I'm Lilly's second mother, so I thought it'd be funny to have her in a few pictures! I'm lucky to have a sweet little dolly to care for and play with all the time! 

I feel like most women my age (married or not) have that longing to care for something, and having Lilly to care for has filled that hole for me, which is a huge blessing because now would not be the best time for us to have kids! (Because of school and what not.)

I'm not gonna lie- Lilly LOVES me!

 I don't think I've ever mentioned that I LOVE taking pictures of these kids! Especially candids and quick-snap ones! They're so fun to capture!

Back at the Bailey's relaxing. Lilly's come to love Tyler too! She gets really excited when she sees him, and she loves crawling all over him!

Independence Day

The Fourth of July was packed for us this year! The night before, our starter in our car stopped working, and since we were going to be going to the Bailey's early in the morning, and we were going to be without a car until after the holiday, we just spend the night with them. 

Around 4 to 5am, Rachel left with Lilly to go and save spots for the parade, and then the rest of us met up with her around 8:45am. 

Jackson wanted a picture with all the missionaries walking and singing. So I happened to get one of him posing for Rachel! hahaha

After the parade, we were all exhausted! Everyone but Ella and I took a nap!

After everyone's nap we had lunch [or perhaps that was after lunch] then Tyler and I were off to spend the rest of the day with his family!

We got to go to a Real Salt Lake Soccer game!
