Tommy is here! Poor Karly went a week overdue! She's a trooper! Seriously, you guys have no idea...though, continue reading and you'll see just how amazing she is!
The view out of Karly's window. I love the American Fork hospital!
Lookin' good at 41 weeks!
We all took turns pushing on Karly's lower back when she was contracting, it helped lessen the pain of the contractions.
Taylor working off some energy. Haha!
Karly, just brushing her teeth!
Karly labored for hours with very little progress, but then labored another 4 hours straight (if I remember right), without ANY progress! She hadn't dilated at all! We were all so so sad for her. I can't imagine how it must feel laboring (unmedicated) for that long without any progress! She was amazing though, throughout all of it!
Dr Allen knew that Tommy's head wasn't in the right position, but wanted to wait a bit to see if they could get Tommy to move his head in the right place by having Karly lie in certain positions.
Tommy's head wasn't right against Karly's cervix, but instead his brow/eyes were. (Face presentation). And without the head pressing against the cervix for each contraction, she didn't dilate.
The doctor told her what she already knew - that she would need to have a C-section.
Getting ready for surgery!
Paul and Jennifer!
We were all sad Karly's parents weren't able to be there. But it's hard when you're across the country!
I was texting Linda updates every so often and sending her pictures!
Bye Karly! See you soon!!
A little while later...
HE'S HERE!
I love this picture!
Sweet prince had a little bulge on his head from being pushed against the cervix for hours! It was almost gone by the next day!
One of the best moments ever!
Grateful to have been apart of this experience!
Love you three!
